Garden Rental Information

Rental Fees and Schedules

The rental season for the Museum gardens lasts from the last week in February through the second week of November. Rentals are limited to fourteen full night and two half night rentals per season on a first-come-first-served basis. There are two categories of rentals:


Full night rental* - from 5:30 PM until 11:00 PM, with an extra hour (until midnight) allowed for cleanup (6:30 hours total)...Arrangements for additional event time must be discussed in advance with the Museum’s Events Coordinator and are subject to a $250/hour surcharge. Vendors are welcome to set up prior to 5:30 PM at no additional cost.

Scarbrough House Garden

2012: $3,000.00 for reception only**; $3,500.00 for wedding and reception.

North Garden

2012: $3,750 for reception only**; $4,250 for wedding and reception.

Both gardens***

2012: $4,750 for reception only**; $5,250 for wedding and reception


Half night rental
* - from 5:45 PM until 9:00 PM, with an extra forty-five minutes (until 9:45 PM) allowed for cleanup (4:00 hours total)

Scarbrough House Garden

2012: $2,500

North Garden

2012: $3,000

Both gardens

2012: $3,750


*Only full night bookings are available in April, May and October.

**There will be a $750.00 surcharge (payable before wedding ceremony) if the garden, rented for a reception only, needs to be used as a rain location for a wedding.

***There will not be more than one event booked at the museum per night, and guests are welcome to wander throughout the property, but if your event is set up in both spaces, you will need to rent both gardens. 

 

We cannot accept credit cards as payment for garden rentals.

 

Dates for events may be held for up to two weeks by request, during which time the requestor will be given the right of first refusal if there is another serious inquiry for that date. Requests for dates should be made to the Museum’s Events Coordinator. A 50% deposit is required to permanently secure a date.
